Microwave testing (µT) is an NDT method for electrically non-conducting, i.e. dielectric materials. That means, parts to be inspected with µT e.g. are rotor blades of wind power plants and front ends of rail vehicles, and all parts made from plastics, glass fibre reinforced plastics (GFRP), foams, elastomers, ceramics and natural fibre reinforced plastic as wood plastics composites (WPCs).
